The congregation I serve as Interim Pastor recently
purchased Glory To God: Hymns and
Songs For Advent and Christmas. At $5 per copy, this lightweight paperback
hymnal containing seventy-five Advent and Christmas Carols is a great resource
for congregations that don’t want, don’t need, or can’t afford the more
expensive hardback Glory To God: The
Presbyterian Hymnal. I hope that the congregation will make exclusive use of it
during Advent and Christmas. As I have started to plan Advent and Christmas
worship, however, my planning would have been made easier if an alphabetical
index had been included. Since it wasn’t, I have prepared my own and I share it
with you.
