I used to work as a counselor at summer c...kayakr,<br /><br />I used to work as a counselor at summer camps where the staff to camper ratio was at times one to seven. A one to one ration is very manageable. It sometimes blows my mind that we are kayaking in a National Wildlife Refuge in New York City. From some places in Jamaica Bay, if it were not for the jets taking off and landing at JFK, a paddler would never know he or she was in an urban environment.
